PumaRinri Amazon Lodge

At Lotus Vine Journeys we pride ourselves in giving you much more than your typical Ayahuasca jungle experience!

By all but taking over the boutique lodge when a Lotus Vine Ayahuasca retreat is underway, our participants can enjoy privacy in a comfortable resort environment with luxuries like electricity, hot water showers, flush toilets, wi-fi, hotel style services and facilities.

Only at this stunning Amazon Lodge can you gaze at the sunsets, swim under magnificent waterfalls and feel the breezes encircling the mountains around you as the fast flowing waters of the Amazon's upper tributaries flow by.

Tarapoto - A Biological Bridge

As the Andes mountains start their climb up and out of the Amazon Basin, they form a rare band of mist-shrouded luxuriant cloud rain forests that blanket the region.

It is here you will find Tarapoto ... the location we have chosen for our Ayahuasca retreats. It is an area of exceptional natural beauty and biodiversity. We host our ceremonies in a Maloka on the banks of the Huallaga River, an upper Amazon tributary that passes through the
Cordillera Escalera Conservation Region and the Cerro Azul National Park.

In many ways Tarapoto is like Ayahuasca ... a biological bridge between two worlds!

Tarapoto dips its toe into the Amazon basin while managing to cling to the rest of Peru by the umbilical cord of a long paved road pack to civilisation.

When working with ayahuasca, the process of integrating and processing ones often profound experiences is an extremely important part of any retreat. To be able to lay in your suite and look out over ever changing river flows, weather and misted forests, those tasks of integration and processing can become far more meaningful.

Bugs, insects and mosquitoes are present in almost any tropical area. However, the prominence of insect-borne diseases, the incidence of malaria, dengue, yellow fever and others in Tarapoto and the surrounding area is extremely low.
